How do you feel about taxes?

Our current top tax bracket is just shy of 40%. Is it more likely that taxes will increase or decrease in the future? Make a list of reasons for each. Seriously, make a list and compare. Is your 401(k) plan the best vehicle for your retirement savings? What else is out there? Is there something better? We need to find out about how you want to live and what's important to you before you can truly answer that question. Make a list of goals for your life and leave nothing out. That's step one. Until that is crystallized you have no reason to plan.
